Metabolic engineering of bacteria to produce renewable fuels and chemicals.
1. Engineering E. coli and Klebsiella oxytoca strains for ethanol production from cellulosic hydrolysate.
2. Engineering E. coli strains for bicarboxylic acids and derivatives production (succinate, malate, and aspartate)
