Bio

Chris is a former public school elementary and middle school teacher in Alachua and Marion Counties with over 20 years experience working with students. Her area of specialization is in Higher Education curriculum, academic support, administration, and student affairs. Her academic advising and teaching career has taken her from the orange groves of Weirsdale, Florida teaching migrant students, to the board room of the Ministry of Sport in Moscow, Russia teaching children and adults the value of academics, fitness, and a healthy lifestyle.  She is originally from Floral Park, N.Y. but has lived in Gainesville since 1975.  Chris considers herself a true-blue Gator since she received both her B.S. and M.Ed. from the University of Florida.  In her spare time she is an avid reader and traveler.  At noon, you may have seen her jogging and walking around campus  or working out at Living Well to stay fit.
