Share Folder/Server Connection Instructions
To access the server please follow these steps: (If you are outside of the UF campus, you will have to connect using the UF VPN)
Windows
- Open File Explorer
- Select TOOLS on the toolbar menu option
- Select "Map Network Drive"
- Select a vacant drive letter to use
- Type the server address using this syntax:
(\\AD.UFL.EDU\IFAS\MICROBIO\) - Check the "Reconnect at Logon" box
- Check the "Connect using different credentials " box
- Left click on the "OK" button
- When prompted, enter UFAD\Gatorlink_Username in the Name box and your Gatorlink Password in the Password box.
MacOS
- Click the Finder icon in the Dock.
- Choose Connect to Server from the Go menu.
- In the address field of the Connect to Server dialog, type the server address using this syntax:
smb://ad.ufl.edu/IFAS/microbio - Click Connect.
- When prompted, enter your Gatorlink Username (do not add "@ufl.edu") in the Name box and your Gatorlink Password in the Password box.
