    Undergraduate programs in microbiology and cell science at the University of Florida introduce students to the biological systems that influence human health, agriculture and environmental stability. 

    Students at UF study microbial genetics, cell biology and molecular biology while gaining laboratory experience that prepares them for careers in science or advanced graduate study. 

    On-campus microbiology majors at UF can enroll through either the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) or the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), while the online microbiology major is offered exclusively through CALS.
